Burnie Anglican is committed to knowing Christ and making him known. We see this happen in lots of different ways. One big way this happens is when we open the bible, read it with others, discuss what it says and prayerfully work out how God is speaking to us in Burnie in in 2022. Growth Groups are small groups of adults who meet regularly (weekly or fortnightly) during the week to open the bible and discuss its meaning. There are groups for all ages and stages, and some are hybrids of in-person and online gatherings. They are extensions of our larger Sunday and Wednesday gatherings. A central aim of our Growth Groups is to make God’s word accessible to everyone. We believe that the Bible can best shape us when we regularly read it and have community around us to help us apply it. These groups are communities who are interested in, and caring for, those in the group. Growth Groups are a place where a small number of people can care for each other in a variety of ways!
In 2022, our Growth Groups studies will follow our teaching program across the whole church. Bible books we will be studying this year will include Acts, Exodus, Jonah, and a few others.

We are committed to growing our confidence in God who loves and sustains the world, and who sent his Son to redeem it. We want to be more and more confident in him, in the Gospel he has entrusted to us to proclaim, in the Scriptures that reveal his Son to us, and in the Church that is his body. This program is designed to equip us with the knowledge and skills that we need to confidently carry out the mission of Christ.
