Missions
In addition to our local mission, we are currently connected with the following wider missionary work of the Church:
Church Missionary Society (CMS)
link cross-cultural workers in South East Asia.
Australian Mercy
support for projects and the ministry of their Australian director David Skeat, who is a member of the parish and works from an office in our parish complex.
Mission to Seafarers
members of our parish volunteer as workers at the Seafarers’ Centre in the Port of Burnie.
North West Regional Hospital Chaplaincy
our Rector serves as Chairman of Burnie Community Care who oversee this ministry and one of our parishioners is a member of the current chaplaincy team.
Australian Board of Mission (ABM)
partnering with the Anglican Church in northern Australia and overseas.
Bush Church Aid (BCA)
supporting ministries in rural and remote parts of Australia.
In addition, financial support is given for the Christmas Bowl, City Mission’s community lunch on Christmas Day and in kind support is provided for Anglicare ministries in the area.
